“I’ve tried meditation many times over the years, but what’s made it stick this time is Maddy’s approach. Understanding what actually happens in the brain during meditation – the stages, the drifting, the returning – gave me a framework that no app ever had. I’ve also done a retreat with her, which left me feeling weeks worth of calm and centred in just a few days. My partner and I are now planning to do two a year. I can’t thank Maddy enough.
The change has been life-altering. Where I used to react from a frantic, overloaded place, I now have a split second of clarity before I respond. My nervous system feels like it’s come down several levels from the constant high-alert state it was in. The difference it’s made to my relationships, my family life, and how I move through the world is hard to put into words.”
See what past retreaters have to say…..
— Honey Atkinson“I was going through a massive transition when I went to the rounding retreat with Maddy. Rounding as a practice helped a lot and the knowledge talks helped with my perspective. With Maddy’s guidance I was able to create some spaciousness in my transition”
— Katie Ling“A few things I’ve noticed since beginning meditation. The biggest one is my body told me to lay off coffee for a while as it was feeling too “aggressive”. I listened and ended up not drinking any for 7 weeks 🤯🤯🤯 I didn’t stop drinking tea, just the coffee. That was probably about a month ago now and astonishingly to me, I don’t even want it anymore!!! What the heck?! I’ve had the odd one, but the daily desire for it has gone.
Secondly, I was going to a chiropractor for my neck (car accident 10 years ago) at least once a month. During meditations I’ve felt guided to move my head/neck around in certain ways, very gently and slowly. It seems to have helped manage the stiffness in between appointments. However I just checked and I haven’t been to the chiro in 4 months! The biggest gap I’ve had. Coincidence 🤷🏼♀️
Anyway, thought I’d share in case anyone else has noticed some different benefits along with feeling calmer, more balanced and more present!
