Crisis as Crossroad: The Choice Within Challenge

Crisis is often the turning point in every hero's journey.

When you get sick, lose a loved one, have an argument lose your job or your home, the very foundations of your reality are shaken.

The ego is often screaming ‘I don’t want this!’

And yet here you are.

You have come to the crossroads in your spiritual journey and you have a choice to make.

You can shut down, be angry and resentful and keep focusing on what you don’t want (this is the path of suffering).

Or you can choose a different path. You can open your heart, find clarity and choose to focus on what you do want (this is the path of true freedom or Moksha).

Just think about it, your way of thinking, your actions, your underlying beliefs all got you to the place you are now. So in order for you to go beyond that, for something to shift, you must be willing to let go of what you already know.

Be willing to Unfold.

Allow yourself to unfold. Allow the not knowing to be your true path. We can’t possibly ‘know’ all that the universe has in store for us but we can walk the path of least resistance.

When we try to hold on, to control, to grip certain situations we actually create our own suffering. It is the ‘trying to be in control' that creates the tension which is experienced as suffering and doesn’t allow us to flow with nature and its natural rhythms.

Imagine a tree trying to hold on to its leaves in Autumn because it didn’t think it was going to grow anymore in the spring-time.

In this same way when we are trying to hold on to a certain situation whether it be a role, a relationship or a certain situation, we are not trusting that there is a bigger force at play. We are refusing to believe that there is anything bigger than us out there. We are ignoring cosmic intelligence.

There is a divine order to all things and the degree to which we are able to surrender and let go, is the degree to which we are able to experience Moksha or true liberation.

There is a path, and a practice if you’re willing,

and it is there waiting for you.

Which path will you choose?
